As background, let me cite the fact that in the Communist Manifesto of 1848, Marx and Engels had already differentiated Scientific Socialism from Utopian Socialism of three kinds:

The Bankruptcy of the Duterte Regime

Duterte is the mentally and morally bankrupt president of a financially bankrupt government. Mentally bankrupt, he is unable to understand the rotten character and social ills of the semicolonial and semifeudal ruling system. Morally bankrupt, he is capable only of giving out extrajudicial kill orders, making financially impossible promises and using his foul mouth in a futile attempt to deflect attention from his crimes and unfulfilled promises.

Study Marx to resist imperialism

The study of Marxism is indispensable for understanding the current status and crisis of global capitalism. It was Marx who first uncovered systematically the laws of motion of capitalism, how the capitalist class extracts surplus value from the working class in the process of social production, over-accumulates capital and shrinks the wage fund and thereby creates the crisis of overproduction relative to the purchasing power of the working people.
