Lapira spent six years in college, one year in Development Studies and five years in BS Biochemistry. She was about to graduate but earlier this year, Lapira became a full-time activist, Omaga said. She went to serve in the mountains of Southern Tagalog this August

In the situation of an industrially backward and feudal Philippines, service is definitely not like those listed above. Hence, the meaning of the challenge “Serve the People” in a historical, moral and practical context of the country is the offering of oneself to the fight for national liberation, not anything less.
